Today, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will stage rallies at two Dhaka entry points

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is planning rallies on Friday afternoon at two entrance crossings in the nation’s capital, Dhaka, in response to calls for the resignation of the current Awami League government. The northern Abdullapur Polwel Market Field will host one gathering, and Jatrabari’s Shahid Faruk Road will host the other.

BNP Metropolitan North is in charge of organising the demonstration, and BNP Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will serve as the chief guest. A member of the party’s standing committee named Mirza Abbas will attend the Jatrabari rally as the principal guest, and Abdul Moiyn Khan will be the special guest.

In addition, the party would coordinate Milad Mahfil programmes and prayer sessions for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the district, metropolitan, thana-upazila, municipal, and union ward levels across the nation.

Coalitions and Parties with Similar Values
Along with the BNP, numerous other like-minded political groups and alliances will hold individual rallies as a part of a coordinated action. The National Unity Coalition will take part in a demonstration at 3 PM, while a coalition of 12 parties will stage a rally at 4 PM close to the Vijaynagar Water Tank in the capital. The Uttara Badda flyover area will host a gathering of Nurul Haq’s Gan Odhikar Parishad. People’s Rights Council (Reza Kibria) will organise a march towards Rampura and a demonstration in front of the National Press Club at 4 PM after the rallies.

Adaptations to the Programme
The BNP has moved its previously scheduled event from September 19 to October 3. The Comilla-Chattogram division’s road march will now take place on October 5 instead of October 3, as originally planned. The party has also unveiled a fresh schedule of rallies. All towns and districts, including Dhaka, will call for Khaleda Zia’s release and better treatment on September 24.

This modification was made public by BNP Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday afternoon.

A road march or rally will take place in Faridpur on October 3 according to the updated schedule. In the meantime, the originally scheduled date in Dhaka for September 26 has been moved to October 4.

The BNP Secretary-General unveiled numerous staged migration plans on September 18. These events range from road marches at the departmental level to rallies in various Dhaka locales, business conferences, and more.
